Cannons Thunder at Charles Towne Landing

The cannons will be thundering at Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site on February 21.
Live demonstrations of a reproduction 17th-century saker cannon will be held at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. at the cannon platforms overlooking the secluded point off the Ashley River where the Carolina colony was founded in 1670.
Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site is located on Old Towne Road (S.C. 171), near Exit 216-A off Interstate 26. Admission to the park is $5 for adults, $3.25 for South Carolina seniors, $3 for children ages 6 to 15 and free for children 5 and younger. A Park Passport that grants admission to all South Carolina state parks can also be purchased.
