Albino Alligator at South Carolina Aquarium

Open for viewing in March, the light-sensitive creature will live in the Blackwater Swamp exhibit among the snakes, owls and fish of the expanded Piedmont area. One of fewer than 50 living albino alligators in the world, visitors will have the chance to learn ‘the great success story’ of the American alligator and about what makes albino scales translucent.
