The American College of the Building Arts will hold its 8th Annual Masters of the Building Arts Festival Saturday, March 24 from 10 a.m - 5 p.m. at the Old Charleston Jail campus on 21 Magazine St., to celebrate the extraordinary skill and artistry of master craftspeople.

Scheduled events include: faculty, student, and special guest demonstrations in the school’s six areas of study: stone carving, masonry, ironwork, plasterwork, carpentry, and timber framing; classroom and amphitheater lectures; the Midwest Tool Collectors Tool Swap; food trucks; live music; preservation group booths; and more.

The American College of the Building Arts is a non-profit, four-year liberal arts college dedicated to educating the next generation of building artisans and to preserving the building arts in America.The Masters of the Building Arts Festival is part of ACBA’s educational outreach mission through which the school seeks to share with the public the role of the artisan in the modern world, celebrate working artisans, and increase exposure of the school.Free.
