2015 No Kid Hungry Charleston Gala

Event Details

Charleston foodies and philanthropists can enjoy the region’s most celebrated food on Sunday, October 11, when Charleston’s No Kid Hungry Dinner returns to the Holy City.

To be held at The Cedar Room in the Cigar Factory, the annual event will feature some of the area’s top chefs coming together for a cause: making sure all children in this country get the healthy food they need, every day. Proceeds from the event benefit No Kid Hungry’s work to end childhood hunger in America.

Led by event host Steve Palmer and Chef Jeremiah Bacon of The Indigo Road Restaurant Group, more than 20 of Charleston’s best chefs – including Frank Lee (SNOB, High Cotton and Old Village Post House), Michelle Weaver (Charleston Grill), Michael Perez (Indaco and Colletta), Nico Romo (Fish), Jason Stanhope (FIG) and many more – will team up to serve guests a memorable multi-course dinner in support of No Kid Hungry. The seated dinner will be preceded by an elegant cocktail reception featuring passed hors d'oeuvres from James Beard Award-winning guest chef Spike Gjerde of Woodberry Kitchen in Baltimore, MD.

In 2014, Charleston’s No Kid Hungry Dinner raised nearly $150,000 to help feed children in need more than 1.5 million healthy meals.
