The Lowcountry Blues Club will present its 2014 Blues Challenge Final on Saturday, November 8th from 1 – 5pm at the Hanahan Amphiteater. The Blues Challenge is an annual event that selects one or more local bands to represent the Lowcountry at the International Blues Challenge held in Memphis Tennessee in January. This year, five bands are competing: The Howlin’ Pack, The Sufferin’ Moses Blues Band, Blues Spell (Oscar Rivers), 526.3 Delta (Big Daddy Cade), and Harris & Newman.
In addition to the bands competing to go to Memphis, there will be a special performance by The Muddy Kings. The Muddy Kings are a talented group of young musicians who have been selected to represent the Lowcountry in the Youth Showcase portion of the International Blues Challenge.
This event is free and open to the public. The music starts promptly at 1pm … don’t miss a blues note!
