2012 77th Annual House and Garden Tour - The Garden Club of Charleston

The Garden Club of Charleston is proud to announce the 77th Annual House and Garden Tours. These two walking tours of private homes and gardens will be held on consecutive days, March 23rd and 24th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., in the historic district of Charleston, South Carolina. This year’s tours will include some of Charleston’s finest homes and gardens. At each house, floral arrangements by members of The Garden Club of Charleston will be featured. Refreshments will also be served.

The Garden Club of Charleston is a non-profit organization whose objectives and purposes are to direct profits from projects solely for benevolent, charitable, scientific, and educational purposes conducive to the well-being of the community; to promote the protection and conservation of natural resources and wildlife; to encourage civic planting and beautification; to further horticultural education, conservation and landscape design through gift camp scholarships; and to encourage the love of all phases of garden club work.
Proceeds from the Annual House and Garden Tours fund projects of The Garden Club of Charleston that benefit the Charleston community and its visitors such as maintaining the Gateway Walk, the Heyward-Washington House Garden, the Joseph Manigault House Garden, the Charleston Museum Courtyard Garden, the MUSC Healing Garden, the garden of the Confederate Home, and other continuing projects.

Tickets for each day are $40.00 and $70.00 for both days. Group rates are also available. Advance tickets may be made on-line with secure payment through PayPal or by mail with a check or credit card. Tickets may also be purchased with cash or check the days of the tours.
