The Pirates of Penzance

Enjoy hilarious pirates, damsels in distress and exceptional cuisine in the Lowcountry's newest venue with a special dinner theatre presentation of Gilbert and Sullivan's world famous comic operetta, The Pirates of Penzance. The Company Company and Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina invite you to join the crew for a night of operetta, cocktails, Caribbean fare, and breathtaking views. Audiences will enjoy delectable dining coupled with the magic of musical theatre at the inaugural performance at the Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina's Lookout Pavilion. This state-of-the-art venue overlooks Charleston Harbor, where famous pirates once ruled the waves during the historic golden age of piracy. While enjoying the wit and musical bravado of The Pirates of Penzance, it won't be hard to imagine the hanging of the gentleman pirate or Blackbeard's siege that happened just across the water.

The 1980 Broadway revival of The Pirates of Penzance won the Tony Award for Best Revival and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical, starring Kevin Kline and Linda Ronstadt. The show features top Charleston talent: Elizabeth Ferraro, Kathy Summer, Bill Schlitt, David Hallatt, Jonathan White and many more.

Dinner will be served at 5:30 pm each night with the show's curtain at 7 pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 6:30 pm on Sundays. Ample dining selections and a cash bar will set the mood for an adventurous evening:

Fridays - Happy Hour Theatre - Includes Kahlua BBQ Sliders, Caribbean Jerk Chicken Wings, Island Conch Fritters with Mango Dipping Sauce and a Salsa Bar...Plus drink specials: $2.00 domestic beer, $3.00 import beer and $4.00 glasses of wine. Tickets are $35.

Saturdays - Gourmet Three-Course Dinner Theatre - Mixed Spring Salad, Dual Entree of Seared Skirt Steak with Chimicchurri Sauce or Grilled Shrimp, Twice Baked Potato, Fall Vegetable Medley, and Pineapple Upside Down Cake with Caramel Rum Sauce. Tickets are $55.

Sundays - Pirate Pasta Night (Italian Family-Style Dinner Theatre) - Spaghetti with Meat Marinara, Iceberg Salad with Balsamic or Caesar dressing, and Garlic Bread. Vegetarian option available upon request. Tickets are $30.
