One of the most popular camps on Daniel Island is the annual Family Circle Island Adventure Day Camp. The camp is held every summer at the Family Circle Tennis Center and is an excellent way for kids to stay active and entertained during their summer off from school. Close to 600 kids participate in the Island Adventure Day Camp, which starts in early June and finishes in mid-August. The camp is open to children ages 5-12 and can be attended on a daily or half day basis. The camp provides kids an opportunity to be introduced to sports, nature, marine biology as well as arts and crafts. Children are grouped by age and partake in the following daily activities: tennis, soccer, nature's best, daily specials and arts and crafts. The main objective is FUN and our camp staff designs the whole program around that one objective.

Below is a brief summary of each activity that campers enjoy on a daily / weekly basis:

Tennis - Each camper will learn the fundamentals, rules and regulations of tennis and be competing by the end of the week.

Soccer - Campers will learn the basic skills of dribbling, passing, shooting and will play a scrimmage game on Friday.

Nature's Best - All campers will have a chance to be a Marine Biologist or Herpetologist and learn about wildlife conservation. They will learn to throw cast nets, pull crab & minnow traps, as well as learn about different plant and animal life on Daniel Island.

Arts & Crafts - Each day a new craft will be done. Some of these will include shell mobiles, painting, freelance artist, etc.

*Half-day camp will end at noon each day.
