Snakes Alive! Saturday, May 3, 2008
Ever been eye to eye with a snake? Using our live collection, we will discuss the characteristics and dispel the myths that surround these beautiful creatures. You will learn how a snake moves, smells, hears, and other senses. Learn how to identify a venomous snake, the safe way! Answer all these questions and more as well as the opportunity for a hands-on snake experience under the supervision of our naturalist. The snakes presented in the program are non-venomous and native to the park.

Swamp Things Saturday, May 24, 2008
Grab a net and a bucket and let's head for the swamp! During this class, we will learn the importance of this fragile ecosystem, by using our nets, buckets, and microscopes. You can scoop for aquatic insects and fish, AND we will project a water sample on the movie screen to see what microscopic plankton inhabit our water. A great activity for Adults, Children, and Families!
