Charleston Harbor Fest, a family oriented celebration of land, air and sea, is scheduled to take place in the heart of historic Charleston June 18-20, 2010. This annual event is known to attract thousands of national and international visitors. One of the key attractions to this annual event is the visiting tall ships which join the Palmetto State’s very own Spirit of South Carolina for deck tours.

In addition to hosting tall ships, Charleston Harbor Fest offers an array of exciting activities suited for all ages. The pirate camp offers a look back to the days of Blackbeard, along with regular cannon blasts and a daily children’s pirate parade. On Saturday and Sunday, a Family Boatbuilding Workshop takes place where families will construct their own wooden boats. There will be a Wooden Boat Display where visitors can vote for their favorite craft. Visitors will also have the opportunity to take a free sailing lesson. For those more interested in air than sea, the Air Show takes place on Saturday and Sunday featuring aerobatic flight demos and other exciting aerial attractions.

Charleston Harbor Fest takes place at the Charleston Maritime Center, located at 10 Wharfside Street in downtown Charleston, SC.
