21st Annual Candlelight Memorial Ceremony

Colonial Lake in Downtown Charleston will be the site of Hospice of Charleston Foundation’s 21st Annual Candlelight Memorial Ceremony. Presented in collaboration with Hospice of Charleston – Gentiva and sponsored by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Funeral Chapels and Crematory, this signature Hospice of Charleston Foundation (HOCF) event will be held Sunday, November 22 at 5:30 pm.

As in past years, the lighting of hundreds of memorial luminaries placed around the lake will be followed by a brief ceremony of music and readings offering a message of hope and remembrance (including a performance by Ann Caldwell).
Personalized memorial luminaries may be ordered by making an on-line donation to Hospice of Charleston Foundation at www.hospiceofcharlestonfoundation.org/programs/candlelight_memorial.html. A hard copy of a flyer and order form may also be printed on-line and returned by mail to Hospice of Charleston Foundation, 676 Wando Park Boulevard, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464. Such charitable donations support several Foundation initiatives, including providing assistance to low-income, uninsured hospice patients and spreading awareness of hospice care in the tri-county region.

In order to be included in the printed program for the event, luminary orders must be received by November 16. Orders received after November 16 will not be included in the printed program but will be placed with others around the lake. Donations and luminary registrations will also be taken on site before the ceremony begins.
