Volunteer Opportunities Available For 2008 Ginn Tribute Hosted By Annika

The Ginn Tribute Hosted by ANNIKA has multiple volunteer opportunities available. The $2.6 million event will take place once again at the RiverTowne Country Club in Charleston, S.C., May 26-June 1, 2008.

The volunteer package is $55 and will include the benefits listed below. It is requested that each volunteer work a minimum of three shifts. Volunteers who work three shifts qualify for a round of golf at RiverTowne Country Club.

*Two (2) tournament golf shirts
*Tournament hat or visor
*Volunteer badge - good for all week
*One (1) Tournament guest grounds ticket - good for all week
*All volunteers who complete three shifts will be eligible to play a free round of golf at RiverTowne Country Club. One shift is considered (4-6) hours.

Volunteer positions are available in the following areas: admissions/will call; walking marshals; media; cart shuttles; scoring; childcare; office administration; standard bearers; corporate hospitality; player and spectator experience; television; greens reporters; player relations; transportation; leaderboards; practice range; walking scorers; water & ice distribution and pro-am duties.

Volunteer opportunities are available for those groups (civic, golf clubs, schools) who would like to volunteer together during the event.

"One can feel a part of something special because of the prestigious host, Annika Sorenstam, amazing facility in RiverTowne Country Club and simply because being involved with the LPGA is rewarding."

The 2007 Ginn Tribute hosted by ANNIKA saw Nicole Castrale earn her first LPGA title. Castrale defeated Lorena Ochoa in a sudden-death one-hole playoff to win the $390,000 paycheck.
