September 17, 2007, Charleston, S.C. – McCrady’s Restaurant has appointed highly regarded fine dining veteran Peter Lamb as its new Banquet Manager. In this role, Lamb will be responsible for service and staff at all private dining events in McCrady’s four banquet rooms. André Guillet, McCrady’s General Manager, made the announcement.

“We are very excited to have Peter join the team at McCrady’s,” said Guillet. “He brings great experience from a wide range of fine dining restaurants, and his style and leadership will support our goal to become Charleston’s finest venue for private events. With Catherine Valente, our Special Events Manager, selling and planning events, and Peter leading our service staff while groups are on site, we’ve got the perfect team.”

The move to McCrady’s is the latest in a series of progressive appointments for Lamb. He comes to Charleston from St. Michael’s, Maryland, where he was the Banquet Manager and Conference Coordinator for The Inn at Perry Cabin, an intimate and luxurious Orient Express resort on the eastern shore of Chesapeake Bay.

Lamb joined The Inn at Perry Cabin from The Reef Grill in Grand Cayman, where he was Assistant Manager and Catering Supervisor. Prior to that, he was a Server, Wine Steward and Catering Supervisor at the famous Grand Old House, also in Grand Cayman.

Originally from Ontario, Canada, Lamb began his food and beverage career as the Head Bartender at the Billionaires Club at Casino Niagara Hyatt in Niagara Falls. While there, he also worked as a Server at Farfalle, their fine dining restaurant, and then helped them open the 21 Club as Head Server before moving to Grand Cayman.
