We uphold a tradition of world class exhibition.

More than 22,000 people witnessed the opening day parade for the 1901 world’s fair, which was staged in the northern section of downtown Charleston. Today, several million people annually visit the area’s museums. From historic naval vessels to the most modern art, these museums give all generations a memorable trip through time.
