Nationwide Tour Championship At Daniel Island Launches New Website for 2010 Event

For Immediate Release, June 2010

The Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island has re-launched its web site at www.NationwideTourChampionship.com, offering improved content and streamlined access to its TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ program. The new site build is comprehensive, yet simple to navigate, allowing fans to locate information quickly and ticket purchasers to designate a charity of their choice with ease. The Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island is scheduled October 25 – 31, 2010 at the Daniel Island Club in Charleston, South Carolina.

Clean and easy to use, the dual-layer site is composed of five primary categories; Tournament Schedule, Tickets, Player Field, Volunteer Info, and Sponsors. The ticket purchasing process, through the TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ program, has been dramatically improved and now allows for a transaction to be completed within one minute via Ticketmaster.com. The Player Field page displays this year’s competitors and lists their collegiate affiliation so fans can identify commonalities with these future PGA TOUR stars. The Volunteer Info page provides a concise overview of the exciting and fulfilling volunteer experiences available at this tournament, as well as a simple electronic enrollment process.

“We’ve redesigned our web site to achieve a number of goals that include simplifying ticket purchasing and volunteer enrollment, and expanding event information and sponsorship exposure,” commented Bob Moran, General Manager, Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island. “The new look is fresh and simple, and we’ve already received a lot of compliments since the site went live.”

The goal of the Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island is to support its host organization, the Student Transportation of America Education Foundation (STAEF), as well as raise funds for local charities via ticket sales. In total, the 2009 tournament was successful in raising $100,000, with over $24,000 raised via the TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ program, and the remainder through event sponsorships. The STAEF recently directed $16,000 of sponsorship proceeds to fund 16 collegiate scholarships for high school seniors in the Greater Charleston area who were honored at a special awards luncheon at the Daniel Island Club on June 7th.

Through a streamlined TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ program, more convenient presence on the tournament’s redesigned web site, and an expanded and more experienced selling force of charities, the tournament expects to dramatically increase its ticket revenue, with 100% of proceeds going directly to local charities involved with this world class golf event.

“This tournament is committed to supporting charitable initiatives, and we’re very proud to have raised significant funds in the first year of this event,” said Denis J. Gallagher, Tournament Chairman, Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island. “The support from the Charleston community was tremendous with more than 650 volunteers stepping up to help out last year. We plan to expand our community impact this year, and are extremely excited to have so many local partners involved in this effort.”
