National Ladies Auxiliary of Jewish War Veterans
For Immediate Release, August 2007The National Ladies Auxiliary of the Jewish War Veterans of the USA will be holding their 79th Annual Convention at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Charleston during the week of August 19-26, 2007.
One of the highlights of the convention will be on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at 3:30 pm. There will be a presentation of Teddy Bears to the Police, Fire Departments, and Children's Hospital. There will be over 1,000 Teddy Bears to be presented at this event.
President Marie Vigotsky and Chairlady Elaine Bernstein, along with many members of this great organization will be present.
Another highlight of the week is the Grant-A-Wish Presentation which will be held at the VA Hospital of Charleston. This program gives a terminally ill veteran his or her wish. JoAnn Lifshitz will be chairing this event. The ladies will also be visiting the Ronald McDonald House with items from their wish list.
The Ladies Auxiliary and their echelons are actively involved in servicing the Veterans Hospitals, Senior Citizens, Child Welfare, Ronald McDonald Houses and many other community activities.
