Challenge Course ? James Island County Park

Discover. Inspire. Grow. There is no boardroom, classroom, or conference room that so aptly and intensely energizes groups to explore the depths of their capabilities as the Challenge Course at James Island County Park.

The Challenge Course offers adventure-based learning opportunities for groups to develop as a team. Sometimes called a "ropes course," the program gives people the opportunity to enhance leadership, decision-making, and communication skills through an interactive process. This hands-on approach is designed to help individuals learn from their interaction with others and then apply those principles to their life situations.

The course is a variety of group initiatives, low elements, and high elements designed to encourage your group to work together to solve problems. Low elements are generally constructed at ground level or less than 12 feet above the ground and often utilize participants for spotting and managing risks. High elements are usually constructed in the trees or utility poles and require a belay for risk management. All team challenges are sequenced to meet the goals and the objectives of our clients.
