The Inn at Middleton Place and Middleton Place now offering Wedding Weekends with accommodations in the one-of-a-kind Ashley River Room Suite!

For Immediate Release, November 2007

Are you looking to create an experience of a lifetime? Come to Middleton Place.

The live oaks draped in swags of Spanish moss, a grand house built in 1755, and the beautiful landscape with rolling hills and blooming color, combine to provide a setting of unusual beauty and charm.

Creating lasting memories for over 250 years, Middleton Place offers breathtaking ceremony and reception sites, superior catering services and luxurious accommodations - all that will be remembered for years to come. We are now offering packages that include the one-of-a-kind room, the Ashley River Room Suite. This room is located on the third floor level of the Lodge and is the only room that has a wrap-around deck with inspiring, birds-eye views of the Ashley River and surrounding marshlands. Enjoy the natural sunlight and river breezes through the room's four French doors with plantation screens leading to the deck. A large, wood-burning fireplace overlooks the entire room. This room also has a large bathroom with a separate shower and garden tub, dual vanity and skylight.

A recipient of the American Institute of Architects highest award, the Inn's design is a contemporary counterpoint to the adjacent 18th-century Middleton Place, America's oldest landscaped gardens, and a National Historic Landmark. In addition to gracious sleeping-room accommodations, with scenic views and seasonal wood-burning fireplaces, guests of the Inn enjoy a wide range of educational experiences. The Middleton Place Gardens, House Museum and Stableyards tell the story of one of America's most important families and the history of a thriving South Carolina rice plantation. The Inn’s Outdoor Center's naturalists facilitate daily guided- and self-guided walking, biking and kayaking tours of the woods, marsh and river.
