McCrady’s Restaurant will be featured on an upcoming episode of the Food Network’s new hit show “Giada’s Weekend Getaways.” Airing on the Food Network on March 9, the episode explores the Low Country’s best food and Charleston’s amazing dining scene.
As the Food Network describes it, “In this episode, host Giada de Laurentiis throws out the net and lands the perfect food filled weekend in Charleston, South Carolina. From shrimping and crabbing to an elaborate tea time, Giada is experiencing the phenomenon known as Low Country cuisine.”
de Laurentiis and the Weekend Getaways crew recently spent an entire weekend in McCrady’s kitchen with Chef Sean Brock and his culinary team, sharing culinary ideas and stories about Charleston, and of course preparing great food for the show.
Starring Giada de Laurentiis, Giada’s Weekend Getaways is the perfect show for food lovers who are looking for cities and towns that are ideal for three-day, food-filled weekends. The focus is on local activities and “must-try eats” in each town. Destinations range from major cities such as Los Angeles, New York City, Seattle and Miami to resort destinations like Cabo San Lucas and Jackson Hole.
The Charleston episode of Giada’s Weekend Getaways airs Friday, March 9 at 9:30 PM, Saturday, March 10 at 12:30 AM, and again on Sunday, March 18 at 2:00 PM.
