Festival Announces Official Vendors For Charleston Cooks! Culinary Village
For Immediate Release, February 2007http://www.charlestonfoodandwine.com
Guests of the 2007 BB&T Charleston Food + Wine Festival prepare yourselves. There are over 70 culinary-related businesses to tempt your palate. For $35 for adults and $20 for children (ages 3-12) guests can stroll though the Charleston Cooks! Culinary Village and taste the delicious cuisine that Charleston has to offer. Gourmet food, outstanding wines and other delicious adventures are just the beginning of the excitement that the Charleston Cooks! Culinary Village has in store for our guests.
Vendors were chosen in December and best reflect the diverse and interesting culinary scene in Charleston. Ashley Gunnin, Operations Manager of the 2007 Festival said, “the response was enormous. Businesses are so excited to be showcasing their unique food and wine and to show out-of-town guests what Charleston is really all about.”
Described as the heart of the 2007 Festival, the Charleston Cooks! Culinary Village is the centerpiece for all things food and wine. In addition to the vendor village, this site will be a hub of culinary activity including cooking demonstrations and competitions, seminars, book signings and more.
The ticket includes a commemorative glassware, chef demos, author signings and a cooking competition hosted by Tyler Florence. All of these events are first come. The Charleston Cooks! Culinary Village and the Wild Dunes Kids Village will be open on Saturday, March 3 from 11am-6pm and Sunday, March 4 from 11am-5pm.
