Charleston’s Top Chefs Host Dinner at the James Beard Foundation in NYC

The Lowcountry meets the Big Apple on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 as six Lowcountry chefs prepare a six-course dinner for 80 guests at the legendary James Beard House in New York City. The dinner provides a sneak preview of the 2008 BB&T Charleston Food + Wine Festival and gives guests “A Taste of Charleston.” The city’s hottest chefs will be dishing up all the reasons why The New York Times lauded Charleston as "a new capital for regional cuisine.”
Featured chefs will be Aaron Deal, Tristan, Fred Neuville, The Fat Hen, Marc Collins, Circa 1886, Frank McMahon, Hanks, M. Kelly Wilson, Cypress, and Sean Brock, McCrady’s. Together they will prepare dishes that salute this regional cooking style while giving guests a taste of what’s to come February 28- March 2, 2008. The event is open to the public.
