Kids and adults are invited to make gingerbread creations for the holidays. This annual competition is held in conjunction with the Holiday Festival of Lights at James Island County Park. The contest is free and open to both youth and adults.

Contestants make traditional edible creations that are judged for overall appearance, creativity, difficulty, and craftsmanship. Prizes are awarded, and the top three entries in each of four age divisions will be displayed in Santa's Sweet Shoppe and other locations throughout the festival. Parental involvement should be limited to items pertaining to safety. Registration ends Nov 9. Award Ceremony will take place at JICP's Park Center on Nov 13 at 6:30 p.m.
