NEW VENUES
• Founders Hall, a brand new event venue located on the grounds of Charles Towne Landing, provides space for large receptions and meetings. • The Mount Pleasant Visitor Center houses the Cooper River Room which can seat 150 people and boasts an impressive catering kitchen. NEW EXHIBITS
• On October 16, 2009 the Charleston Museum presents Aisle Style: 150 Years of Wedding Fashion. While focusing on the bride and her dress, the exhibition will also include accessories, men’s garments, trousseau treasures and photographs. www.charlestonmuseum.org
• The Gibbes Museum of Art plays host to two exhibitions this fall. The Brian Rutenberg exhibition showcases recent paintings and works on paper and Daufuskie Island, includes photographs from Jeanne Moutoussamy-Ashe. Both are on view from October 23, 2009 - January 10, 2010. www.gibbesmuseum.org
