MEDIA VISITS
The CACVB provides
assistance to media by arranging itineraries and facilitating
visits to the attractions, cultural venues and other
points of interest that will be covered in articles,
books and broadcasts. Members of the media interested in visiting
the area to complete stories, features or articles should
send a letter stating requirements on letterhead with two
of their most recent clippings and an official letter of
assignment to:
Charleston Area Convention & Visitors
Bureau
Media Relations Department
423 King Street
Charleston, SC 29403
Individual media trip assistance depends on availability and is handled on an individual basis. Your request will be evaluated and you will be notified of the appropriate plan of action. The Media Relations Department requires media requests to be submitted at least three weeks in advance to be reviewed.
*Note: We recommend that working media professionals consider travel Sunday through Wednesday.
March, April and October weekends typically have the highest occupancy demand for area accommodations.
