The Four Couples Have Been Chosen!
For Immediate Release, September 2008

The Charleston Area CVB, along with its partners, is giving away a Charleston destination wedding weekend. This includes the invitations, rehearsal dinner, the ceremony, lodging, flowers, cake, wedding dress, brunch, catering, harbor cruise, photographer, entertainment and ground transportation. Four creative couples have been declared finalists for the wedding valued at over $80,000.

The couples include: Deborah Singer and Craig Stewart from Fayetteville, Arkansas, Jaime Dugan and Erik Huffman, Nashville residents, Lisa McDonald and Andrew Nerlinger, a Pinehurst, TX native and Los Angeles resident respectively and Nicole Schiller and William Palmisno, Streamwood and Bartlett, Illinois residents.

Deborah and Craig captured the hearts of celebrity judges in a short video about themselves and their relationship. Deborah is a breast cancer survivor who, after beating cancer, decided she wanted more from life. Her 30-day trial on Match.com led her to Craig. The only problem was that Deborah was a reporter in Mississippi, and Craig was a home care agency director in Arkansas. But after a long-distance courtship, Deborah made the decision to move 800 miles. It was a good move. Fayatteville is now home for the happy couple.

Jaime and Erik wowed the judges with their fascinating video. Having grown up just 20 minutes from each other in upstate South Carolina, Jaime and Erik didn’t meet until they were cast together on CBS’s Survivor: China. Love blossomed during the summer of 2007, and now the happy couple resides in Nashville, TN where Jaime pursues her passion of helping women at Mercy Ministries and Erik follows his dream of making music in the rock band, Florez.

The judges were floored by Lisa and Andrew’s impressively unique video. The couple met the first day of medical school at Yale University and has since been traveling the world helping patients in need. Even though they are all-business while tending to their doctoring duties, they showed the judges their fun-loving creative side by producing a video that hearkens back to the bygone era of silent films and early black and white movies.

Nicole and William delighted the judges with their quirky video that involved a dream sequence. Even though the pair grew up only five minutes from each other, they didn’t meet until their freshman year of college. After a budding romance, William proposed to Nicole at a Greek restaurant, and she said yes! They are currently enrolled in grad school, but somehow found time to make a witty and thoroughly entertaining video for the Charleston Destination Wedding Giveaway.

It’s now up to the world to decide who will walk down the aisle on April 4th in Charleston, SC. How can you get involved in deciding who wins this fabulous prize? Vote! Then tell others to vote, too!

Wild Dunes Resort on the Isle of Palms will host the ceremony for 50 people and provide lodging for 20, golf for five foursomes, the reception and a return anniversary trip for the couple. The Resort sits on the tip of the Isle of Palms so guests have breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean.
