Executive Chef Sean Brock hosts Share Our Strength’s A Tasteful Pursuit at McCrady’s Restaurant on July 14, 2009
Executive Chef and the 2008/2009 James Beard Rising Star Chef Nominee Sean Brock of McCrady’s Restaurant is gathering four top chefs from Charleston and surrounding areas to create a six-course menu paired with exquisite wines locally sponsored by Grassroots Wine for Share Our Strength’s A Tasteful Pursuit®, nationally sponsored by Stella Artois, Hoegaarden, and Leffe on Tuesday, July 14, 2009. Funds raised from this exquisite dinner and auction will support Share Our Strength’s efforts to end childhood hunger in America.
Chef Brock will be accompanied by local chefs as well as some of the series’ touring chefs, including:
• Winner of the 2009 James Beard Award, Chef Mike Lata, FIG Restaurant, Charleston
• Chef Tyler Brown, The Capitol Grille at the Hermitage Hotel, Nashville
• Chef RJ Cooper, Vidalia Restaurant, Washington D.C.
• Chef Ken Vedrinski, Trattoria Lucca, Charleston
"Events like this allow us raise funds to offer kids across the nation access to the food and nutrients they need and are unable to get on their own. It’s a vital issue and often goes unrecognized; we need to make this a priority and this event helps us do so,” said Brock.
McCrady’s is located at 2 Unity Alley, Charleston, SC 29401. Tickets for the dinner are $95.00 per person. Reservations can be made by visiting http://join.strength.org/atp_charleston, or by calling Andrea at 888.273.6141.
