Children are invited to The Charleston Museum this summer for a chance to see collection items up close and make fun craft projects with Kid Tours.

Kid Tours is a series designed to highlight artifacts from the Museum’s collection that have captivated children for years. Children and a chaperone will learn fascinating facts about collection items from educators and curators and then participate in a craft project or activity.

Kid Tours will meet every Wednesday in June and July at 3:30 p.m. This event is FREE for Museum members and FREE with general admission. No reservations are required. For more information call 722-2996 ext.264. The schedule is as follows:

June 10 – Making Music
June 17 – The Tales of Hans Christian Andersen
June 24 - Snakes
July 1 – Stars and Stripes
July 8 – Mummy Madness
July 15 – Things That Go Boom!
July 22 – A Whale of a Tale
July 29 – Fantastic Fans

Museum hours are Monday-Saturday 9 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 1-5 p.m. Museum admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children.
