Built in 1886 as a private residence this beautiful mansion is located in downtown Charleston in the historic district just a short walk from Francis Marion Square – the site of the 2010 Wine + Food Festival. Guests will begin their Food and Wine experience Thursday night with tickets to the Salute to Southern Chefs (7:00pm-10:00pm) opening night party. On Friday (12:00-3:00pm) guests will begin their day with tickets to a Wine tasting at Middleton Place Gardens. Shuttles will chauffeur patrons to Middleton Place where guests will captivate all of the senses as they stroll through the historic and charming gardens with a glass of wine in hand and taste assorted foods prepared by local chefs. Friday evening will be back on the grounds of the Wentworth Mansion at on site AAA 4 Diamond, Mobile 4 Star Circa 1886 restaurant (www.circa1886.com) for the festival dine around (6:30pm) where executive chef Marc Collins will play host to guest chef Kyle Ketchum. On Saturday morning guests will enjoy the fantastic Culinary Village (10:00am-1:00pm) at Francis Marion Square where they will experience many samples of the finest food Charleston and the Southeast have to offer as well as taste wines from all over the country. On Saturday afternoon guests will enjoy Winemaker Receptions (4:00-6:00pm) in downtown historic homes enjoying the private homes while enjoying wine and appetizers that will tickle your taste buds. Sunday morning will prove to be one of the highlights of the weekend with tickets to the famed Sunday Gospel Bruch (11:00am-1:00pm).
