Audience favorite and new holiday classic The Snow Queen returns to the Sottile stage. Choreography by SC Arts Commission's 2017 Fellowship winner, Jonathan Tabbert, custom made costumes and impeccable set designs by Buchanan Arts will transport the audience to another world filled with mischievous goblins and dancing snowflakes.

An amazing cast of professional dancers of Ballet Evolution are joined by over 50 hand-picked young artists from the Charleston dance community for a holiday performance for the whole family! It will be a feast for both the eyes and the ears as the acclaimed musicians of Chamber Music Charleston play live adaptions of classical works acting as the playful soundtrack to this timeless story. Music by Dvorák, Saint-Saëns, Respighi, Gaubert, Milhaud, Ippolitov-Ivanov and Dubois.

Ballet Evolution brought a new artistic voice to Charleston audiences with a diverse opening season in 2015. This ground breaking arts organization continues to act as a hub for the creation of new dance works and musical composition. Our unique programming breaks boundaries in the Charleston arts scene with seamless integration of dance, live music, and story to implement a process that revives and reinvigorates a classical arts model.
