Sperry Charleston Race Week is open to all sailboats 19 to 84 feet in length. This homegrown event is owned and managed by Charleston Ocean Racing Association, and is supported by Sperry, Vineyard Vines, Gosling's Rum and Quantum Sail Design Group and a host of additional sponsors. The event takes place each April in Charleston and features three days of exciting sailboat racing competition interspersed by four nights of fun beachside parties. For nonparticipants, the best viewing venues are White Point Gardens on the Charleston Peninsula, Demtre Park on James Island, and the Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant.
