An astronomer from the faculty of the College of Charleston will be on hand to provide insights on how man's evolving understanding of the cosmos impacted both the arts and science. Fun educational activities for kids of all ages include eclipse-themed crafts and hands-on experience with a sextant, telescopes and star charts. The first 500 visitors will receive certified safe eclipse viewing glasses.
