Judy Carmichael's "Jazz Inspired"

Judy Carmichael's "Jazz Inspired" comes to Kiawah Island for its third year for three days worth of performances and captivating conversations onstage between Judy and her audience.

Don't miss your opportunity to be her guest and engage in her ever-popular public radio show where she explores with listeners and guests the love and art of jazz. The New York Times calls her performance "astounding, flawless, captivating."ť Judy Carmichael is an internationally acclaimed Grammy award nominated pianist, radio host and author. Her show Jazz Inspired airs each week alongside special guests such as Seth MacFarlane, Robert Redford, Neal deGrasse Tyson and more, where they converse about the inspiration behind jazz music asking questions such as: "What inspires the people who inspire you? How do creative people create?"

This time, you get to be the special guest as Judy Carmichael presents as awe-inspiring 3-day weekend recording her Jazz Inspired broadcast. This year's schedule of events includes: Pianist Mark Shane joining Judy Carmichael in duets—with two Steinways onstage! Guitarist Chris Flory will join in for an evening of classic jazz. Bassist/saxophonist Mike Karn, who has toured with Ray Charles, takes the stage with Judy Carmichael and Chris Flory. Finally, drummer Tom Melito joins Mike Karn, Judy Carmichael and Chris Flory for a final event concert. Carmichael's premiere stride/swing piano artistry aims to inspire other to be creative and to think more in depth about jazz. Carmichael says she does, "the interviews in person so the interaction is a conversation between two creative artists about process and ideas."
