December Charity Tasting at The Glass Onion

For their December Charity Tasting, The Glass Onion is encouraging patrons to get into the holiday giving spirit and help HALOS, a local charity serving abused and neglected children in kinship care.

On December 14, from 5:30-7:30p.m., patrons can enjoy Holiday Cocktails including Poinsettia, Bourbon Eggnog, and Sparkling Wine. The tastings will be paired along with small bites to enjoy for $10 per person. Anyone that brings in a new, unwrapped toy for the charity's holiday needs during lunch, dinner, or at the tasting, will receive two deviled eggs for free.

In an effort to bring awareness and raise funds for an important nonprofit organization, $5 of every ticket will benefit HALOS. The mission of HALOS is to provide support and advocacy for abused and neglected children and kinship caregivers. In South Carolina, over 68,000 children are being raised in a grandparent headed household and 51,000 are being raised in true "kinship care" without a biological parent in the home. These children would be in foster care if they did not have an adult relative to care for them. HALOS continues to be the only program in the tri-county that supports the growing needs of kinship care.
