Conversations with a Curator: Archivist and Collections Manager Jennifer McCormick on Forces of Nature: Charleston in the Aftermath

Forces of Nature: Charleston in the Aftermath, an upcoming exhibit curated by Archivist and Collections Manager, Jennifer McCormick, will be on display in The Charleston Museum's Lowcountry Image Gallery, from April 3, 2017 to October 2, 2017.

Many meteorological and geological forces of nature have impacted Charleston and the surrounding coastal areas over the years. Beginning with the Cyclone of 1885, the featured images will journey through the Earthquake of 1886, the deadly tornadoes of 1938 and the many unnamed storms and hurricanes that have pounded our coastline until Hurricane Hugo in 1989.

On Friday morning, August 11, join Jennifer McCormick as she leads a discussion on this exhibit.

Conversations with a Curator allows visitors a chance to have an intimate look at an exhibit in The Charleston Museum, hear stories, ask questions and spark conversations. The Museum's collections are both extraordinary and diverse and each Curator-led talk and tour will allow participants to immerse themselves in different areas of Charleston's history.

All Conversations with a Curator programs are open to the public and FREE for Members and free with admission.

Conversations with a Curator programs are typically held on the second Friday of each month, with a few exemptions.
