5th Annual Smoke on the Harbor BBQ Throwdown

Event Details

The 5th Annual Smoke on the Harbor BBQ Throwdown will return this November for two days of top-notch barbeque competition, a large vendor village, and plenty of entertainment. This culinary event will take place on November 11th & 12th at the Lookout Pavilion at the Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina and will once again be fully sanctioned by The Kansas City Barbeque Society.

Competition categories in this State Championship will include: Chicken Wings, Chicken, Pork Ribs, Pork, and Beef Brisket. The chicken wings contest will be held on Friday, while the others are saved for Saturday.

Aside from the competitions, the Throwdown will also include:
-Samples of chicken wings and pork butts will be available for purchase for all attendees
-Numerous food and refreshment options
-Live music performances
-A cocktail competition
-A Kids Zone

The Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina will also host a Food Drive benefiting the East Cooper Meals on Wheels during the event. Patrons are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items. As a thank you, they will receive $5 off the $10 admission.

Friday's fun begins at 5 pm, while Saturday's events begins at 12 pm.
